Emmanuel E. Otieno
Managing Partner
Emmanuel Elijah is an advocate of the High Court of Kenya having been admitted to the bar on 23rd November 2021. He holds a Bachelors of Laws (LL.B) from Moi University and a Post Graduate Diploma from the Kenya School of Law. Emmanuel is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M) at the University of Nairobi where he is specializes in Law, Governance and Democracy. He is the Managing Partner and team leader at E.E. Otieno Law & Company Advocates (E.E.O Law).
Emmanuel is passionate about litigation and dispute resolution. He has been able to litigate complex disputes successfully in Criminal Law i.e Homicide, Cyber Crimes and White Collar Crimes, Employment and Labour Law, Property Law including Real Estate and Conveyancing, Commercial Law including registration of legal persons such as companies and NGO’s, Family Law i.e Children and the Law, Matrimonial Property, Probate and Succession and Constitutional and Administrative Law where he employs tools such as i.e Petitions and Judicial Review Applications. Emmanuel is also knowledgeable and experienced in compliance and Legal Audits. He litigates from the Small Claims Court, the Magistrates Court, all divisions of the High Court (Civil, Criminal, Family, Judicial Review, Employment and Labour, Environment and Land), the Court of Appeal and The Supreme Court.
Emmanuel has also stepped into the Public Interest Litigation space and has been able to file Constitutional Petitions including the Petition involving the first ever impeachment of the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya, and the Petition challenging the nomination and appointment of sitting members of Parliament to the Executive as Cabinet Secretaries, in the interest of the public. This demonstrates his commitment to use the law and his advocacy skills not just to help clients but also to benefit the general public by shaping policies, regulations and legislation in the governance and administration of public affairs.
For many years now, Emmanuel has been passionate about an emerging area of law which is Electoral Law. Throughout his training as an advocate Emmanuel has continued to grow his interest in Elections and to develop capacity to handle election disputes. Even though the election laws keep changing, the biggest step towards achieving the desire to deliver free, fair and credible elections was made when electoral technology was introduced in Kenya. In a country where elections are hotly contested, Emmanuel offers his experience and skill in electoral law in the adjudication of electoral disputes for public good. His clients includes individuals, Political Parties, State and Non-State Organisations.

Ochieng is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, an ardent mediator and a data protection and privacy enthusiast. He is innovative and very conversant with emerging legal and technological trends in the field of data protection and privacy and tech law.
He brings knowledge and understanding gathered from his training in the various firms and boasts of extensive Court litigation, drafting and research skills.
Always enthusiastic about convoluted tasks, Mr. Ochieng embraces every transaction and makes client’s problem his own with a view of enabling the client to efficiently achieve their strategic objective.
A data protection and privacy enthusiast, Mr. Ochieng is a member of the Data Protection & Governance Society of Kenya (DPGSK) and holds a specialized privacy law training from Strathmore University. He has participated and conducted various webinars on matters data protection and privacy.
Mr. Ochieng has keen interest in Dispute Resolution, Commercial Law Transactions, Tech Law, Internet Governance and Policy Development and A.I.
